Gloriosa Daisies Are Beautiful

When we were getting ready for Junkfest 2014 four yellow plastic flower buttons surfaced in a box of bakelite memorabilia.  They look just like my favorite flowers and are posted online in our shop.

Flowers are a lot like people.  My mother-in-law gave me some seeds from her flower garden almost 40 years ago.  Those seeds grew into flowers as lovely as she was.  They have stood the test of time, even the devastating 2011 flood, and multiplied every year.   I have shared seeds from them with friends and complete strangers as a way to spread their beauty.  This year I was surprised to see the standout in this bunch of flowers.  This flower came from the same seeds and the same plant as the surrounding ones but it is quite different.  I am not sure what made it different but it is quite beautiful in its own way.  Yes, flowers are a lot like people.
