Made from the same slip as dishware, calicos are also known as china stencils.  Nice orange color.  Button measures 5/8 of an inch or 14mm.  Originally sold by the barrelful in general stores across America, these buttons are perfect for reproduction fabrics.  These are probably 1930s but even at that, are over 80 years old.  Price is for one button.
